Annual National Shrimp Festival
The Annual National Shrimp Festival is a favorite among locals and travelers alike. This year's festival takes place on October 7-10 and features a packed schedule of live music, art, entertainment, and, of course, amazing food! Get shrimp in just about any way you'd like it as well as many other non-seafood options. On Saturday join in on the fun at the Sand Sculpture Contest, which is at the west end of the beach at the public access. Even if you don't want to join, it's worth it to stroll down the beach in the afternoon once the judging begins at 3 pm to see all the magnificent creations.

Annual Alabama Coastal Cleanup
You love the beaches along the Alabama Coast, so join in for the Annual Alabama Coastal Cleanup to keep them beautiful! This cleanup event takes place on September 18 from 8 am - 12 pm at various locations all along the coast of the Gulf of Mexico and Mobile Bay. Participate in the state's largest volunteer event at the annual coastal cleanup.
Brett Robinson Alabama Coastal Triathlon
The Brett Robinson Alabama Coastal Triathlon is an annual event that takes place along the beautiful shores of the Gulf of Mexico each year. In 2021, the triathlon is on September 11 and includes an Olympic and Sprint race starting at 7 am.

Flora-Bama Oktoberfest
You don't have to travel to Germany to celebrate Oktoberfest! The Flora-Bama Oktoberfest is a family-friendly event with all the traditional activities, attire, food, and fun. Enjoy German food, beer, and music as well as events like a competition for the best-dressed woman and man. The event takes place on October 10 from 4 - 6 pm.
